Andrew was born and raised in Glasgow but now calls Inverness home.
With over 31 years dedicated to law enforcement, Andrew served his community as a high-ranking police officer, undertaking a variety of roles that were consistently guided by his faith, a central influence in both his personal and professional life.
Each position reinforced his commitment to integrity, service, and community, shaping him into the person Andrew is today.
After transitioning from the police force, Andrew discovered a new calling with a prominent multinational humanitarian organisation. Over the past 13 years, Andrew has built a solid foundation in Social Services and Health Care with beginnings as a Team Leader responsible for managing over 50 support workers who assisted more than 100 service users.
Today, Andrew is one of EM Training's experienced SVQ Assessors and is currently training to become an Internal Verifier. In his work, Andrew assesses candidates across a range of Social Services and Health Care settings, ensuring that quality standards are upheld and the next generation of caregivers is well-prepared for success.
Gill is a dedicated SVQ assessor with eight years of experience guiding candidates through their vocational qualifications.
Gills journey in this field began as an SVQ candidate herself, completing her SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Health Care.
Inspired by the support of her own assessor, Gill chose to pursue a career in assessment, initially working with candidates in Children and Young People’s Services. Over time, Gill expanded her focus to include learners within Adult Services, a shift that has strengthened her commitment to quality in vocational training.
With over 20 years of experience in residential care, Gill brings a wealth of practical knowledge and understanding to her role. This background allows her to provide meaningful insights and guidance, helping candidates succeed and grow in their careers.
At EM Training, Gill is proud to contribute to a supportive, learner-centred environment, empowering individuals to reach their professional potential and make a positive impact in their fields.
